Oakville schools put in “hold and secure” mode

A number of schools were put in “hold and secure” mode around 9:30 this morning after a disturbance at a home on Sixth Line near Upper Middle.

Police say the suspects were possibly armed with various weapons, and fled from the home on foot.

According to police, the suspects were men, but it’s not clear how many there were. None of the suspects were on any school property.
