Norfolk OPP investigate crash that kills an Aurora woman Saturday night

Norfolk OPP are investigating a crash on Highway 3 that killed an Aurora woman Saturday night.

Officers say Saturday night at around 8:15 p.m. a crash occurred between a pickup truck and a SUV on Highway 3 between Simcoe and Delhi.

The driver of the SUV, a 45-year-old Aurora woman, was pronounced dead at the scene according to investigators.

Police say the driver of the pickup truck was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The highway was closed in both directions between Lynedoch Road and Scott Street following the crash but has since been reopened.

The investigation is still ongoing and police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who may have dashcam footage from the area at the time to contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
