Norfolk County Fair kicks off today until Thanksgiving Monday

The Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show kicks off today until Thanksgiving Monday in Simcoe.

The award-winning agricultural fair features competitions, live music, five nights of motorsports, a midway and food and craft vendors.

All students are free Tuesday for the fair’s ‘Young Canada Day’ and on Wednesday’s ‘Seniors Day,’ admission is $10 for people age 60 and over.

Musical guests include country singer Owen Riegling who will perform on Friday, and the band Big Wreck who take to the stage on Saturday.

The fair culminates on Monday with ‘Derby Day’ and a demolition race at 6 p.m.

The event is held at 172 South Dr. and is run by the Norfolk County Agricultural Society, which was started in 1840.
