No injuries after massive early morning fire at Oakville home

Halton Regional Police have called in the Ontario Fire Marshal to investigate after a massive fire broke out at a home in Oakville early Sunday morning.

Fire crews were called to a house fire at about 1:40 a.m. at  1172 Morrison Heights Drive, north of Lakeshore Road East in Oakville.

Police said the home was under renovation and was empty at the time the fire started.

The massive fire spread to neighbouring homes.

Fire crews were able to get all the residents from those homes out safely. No injuries have been reported.

Police have not confirmed the cause of the fire or how much the damage will cost.

Police will stay on the scene until the Ontario Fire Marshal confirms they will take over the investigation.
