No deal reached between Canada Post and union in weekend talks

Canada Post and the union representing 55,000 of its workers say a deal was not reached during mediated talks this weekend.
The Crown corporation accused the union of showing “little meaningful movement” during the negotiations to end a labour dispute which saw employees ordered back to work late last year.
The union says Canada Post “continued to push for serious rollbacks” that it claimed would gut its agreements, “explode part-time and temporary work,” and threaten its full-time jobs.
Canada Post accused the union of not acknowledging the significant challenges facing the company and added that it’s disappointed a deal could not be reached.
