The Niagara Spartans will begin play in the new Can-Am Indoor Football League in the month of March as the only Canadian franchise.
The American operation, is comprised of nine teams that are as close as Niagara Falls, NY and Rochester with teams as far as Vermont and New Hampshire.
The Spartans held a press conference to introduce the operation to the public and owner Phil Costantini, who’s a Hamiltonian and also runs the Steel City Patriots, believes the Niagara Region is a perfect place for this franchise to get on its feet.
If you have interest in playing in this fast-paced football league, the Spartans are hosting open tryouts beginning November 20, at Beamsville District High School from 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
