The Niagara Region is hosting a tree-health workshop this morning for ‘Tree Check month’.

The area has partnered with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) to share tips for inspecting trees and greenspaces to spot signs of trouble from invasive species.

The CFIA says various pests have already destroyed trees across Canada, putting valuable industries at risk.

The public demonstration takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Glenridge Quarry Naturalization Site in St. Catharines (1860 Sir Isaac Brock Way.)
