Niagara police and the victim of a hit run on Saturday are appealing to the public for help in finding the person responsible for the collision that happened in West Lincoln.

Jeff McMurray was hit while riding his E-bike along Concession Road 5 around 9 p.m. on Saturday when he was hit by a vehicle from behind.

“I can’t even imagine why someone would do that and just leave me there on the road,” McMurray said.

McMurray had a concussion and injuries all over his body, right now he can barely walk. The collision destroyed his glasses and his new E-bike, which cost him $2,000.

According to police after hitting him from behind the unknown vehicle then drove into the ditch before returning back onto the road and traveling eastbound on Concession Road 5.

The injured 59-year-old is asking anyone with information to contact the police.
