Niagara police take part in training exercise in St. Catharines

Niagara police officers will be conducting training exercises tomorrow and enhanced police presence is expected in St. Catharines. 

Niagara Regional Police Service Emergency Task Unit will be in the area of Henley Island in the city of St Catharines on Oct. 17 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The city of St. Catharines can expect the sound of simulated gun fire, the sound of controlled explosions and the smell of smoke.

There will be signage and police tape in the training area. 

Officers are asking the public to stay away from their training sites for your safety and the safety of the officers involved.
