Niagara police charge 2 men after recovering 5 vehicles in Lincoln

Niagara police have arrested two men from the Town of Lincoln in connection with an investigation into recovered stolen vehicles.

Officers say they began the investigation Friday and executed a search warrant at a property in Lincoln, where they recovered, seized and processed five vehicles.

The vehicles were a 2019 and 2025 Honda Civic, a 2011 Mercedes, and a 2007 Chevrolet cube van and 2006 Ford F-350 truck.

Parts of several dismantled vehicles were recovered, including a large quantity of parts associated with the Hondas. Detectives believe that there may be more charges pending further investigation.

51-year-old Dean Williams, and 52-year-old Devon Williams were then arrested and charged with possessing property obtained by crime over $5,000, and possessing property obtained by crime over $5,000 for the purpose of trafficking. Dean Williams was arrested on Nov. 7 and Devon Williams was arrested on Nov. 9.

Both men were released on conditions, and were scheduled to appear at a courthouse in St. Catharines.

Police say the auto theft unit has assumed carriage of the investigation, which is ongoing.
