Niagara police have arrested an 18-year-old in connection with a Grimsby home invasion and attempted car theft in March.

Detectives arrested Sangag Dorjee on July 25 after a home invasion near Winston Road and Kelson Avenue North in Grimsby on March 13.

Officers say they were assisted by the Forensic Services Unit and Halton Regional Police Service.

Police continue to search for five additional suspects from this incident. It is not clear which one of the six suspects listed in the original report the 18-year-old is.

Dorjee attended a bail hearing and was held in custody.

The victims of this home invasion recorded it happening.

The accused smashed the glass front door with a hammer, allowing them to enter the house.

They confronted the homeowner and demanded the keys for the cars in the driveway.

However, the suspects were unable to steal the cars due to secondary anti-theft measures.

Instead they fled the scene with the car keys.

There were no injuries in this incident.
