Niagara-on-the-Lake shoppers embrace first snow of the season
In the last 24 hours, Fort Erie and Niagara residents saw a flurry of flurries.
According to Environment Canada, Hamilton dodged a dump of snow due to the direction of the wind pushing that system further down the QEW.
As Danielle de Graauw reports, residents of Niagara-on-the-Lake today were taking the first real snowstorm in stride.
Downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake is often a picturesque place to visit.
Shoppers were prepared and bundled up, getting ready for the Christmas season.
This included Glenda Styers, who left Florida in search of flurries.
“It’s wonderful. It’s such a treat. We never see snow. This is wonderful; we are so excited to be here,” she said.
Environment Canada warns there will be more lake-effect snow in the CHCH coverage area over the next few days, with clear conditions on Saturday.
