Niagara Falls man arrested for alleged sexual assault of boy in store

Niagara police have arrested a man who they say is responsible for sexually assaulting a boy in the Town and Country Plaza on Portage Road in Niagara Falls.

Officers say at around 5:00 p.m. on Aug. 27, a boy was groped by an unknown man while shopping with his mother at one of the stores in the plaza.

Investigators have now identified the man as 26-year-old Bertan Isik of Niagara Falls.

Isik was arrested in the area of the incident on Aug. 28 which officers say was thanks to a fast response from the public.

Police say the accused is charged with one count of sexual assault and he remains in custody before his bail hearing on Friday.
