New children’s book raises money for Ronald McDonald House

A loving uncle has written a book inspired by his courageous nephew and all proceeds are going to a charity that helped the family get through an incredibly dark time.
Three years ago, Kyle Weber’s nephew Jackson was fighting for his life at McMaster Children’s Hospital.
At just two years old, Jackson came down with meningitis, an infection in the membrane surrounding the brain and spinal cord.
“He spent a week in the ICU. We had a lot of questions and no answers. We had great doctors at the time and he made a great recovery,” said Kristen Horne, Jackson’s mom.
During that time, the family was able to stay close by at the Ronald McDonald House while their son was in hospital.
Weber decided to write and publish the book “Jack had a Dream of a Backwards Machine” to help raise money for the charity that helped his family.
The story is about a young boy who just had the best day of his life and wanted to relive it again, so he starts building a time machine.
Weber is donating proceeds to the Ronald McDonald House.
“Jack had a Dream of a Backwards Machine” is available now on Amazon.
