Nathan Cirillo returning to Hamilton

(updated) Corporal Nathan Cirillo who was shot and killed by a lone gunman while he was an honour guard at the National War Memorial in Ottawa on Wednesday will have a full regimental funeral in Hamilton.

A procession from Ottawa is travelling the Highway of Heroes to the Main St. Hamilton exit. It is estimated that arrival in Hamilton will be at approximately 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Cirillo’s funeral is Tuesday at noon Christ’s Church Cathedral on James St. N.

Visitations will be held at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home in Hamilton on Sunday from 6pm-9pm, and on Monday from 9am-9pm.
