Police say a 24-year-old motorcycle driver has died in hospital following a “serious” two-vehicle collision Wednesday morning in Oakville.

Officers say the crash happened at the intersection of Dundas St. West and Hospital Gate shortly before 11 a.m. when a black Acura and red Ducati motorcycle collided.

Paramedics transported a Milton man driving the motorcycle to hospital where he later died.

Dundas St. West was closed westbound at Third Line and eastbound at Postmaster Dr., but has since reopened. A road closure affecting southbound traffic on Hospital Gate is also no longer in effect.

Police’s collision reconstruction unit is now investigating.

Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are asked to contact investigators at 905-825-4747, ext. 5065.
