Most schools closed, buses cancelled due to GTHA snowstorm

Multiple school boards have announced schools in the GTHA have been closed Thursday due to weather, with transportation and buses also being cancelled.
The Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) have cancelled schools, learning spaces and transportation, after operators reported early morning freezing rain.
All YMCA Child Care Centres, school-aged childcare programs and YMCA Beyond the Bell in Brantford and in the HWDSB locations are closed.
The Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board (HWDCSB) has cancelled student transportation, but schools, adult education centres and school-based childcare centres will remain open.
YMCA Beyond the Bell locations in the HWDCSB, within the Health, Fitness and Aquatics locations and churches, and Burlington YMCA Child Care, and YMCA Beyond the Bell locations are open.
The District School Board of Niagara is closed, as is the Niagara Catholic District School board and Niagara Children’s Centre School Authority. Niagara Student Transportation Services are also cancelled.
The Halton District School Board are keeping their schools open, but they have cancelled school bus transportation for all schools.
The Grand Erie District School Board has also closed all school doors due to inclement weather conditions.
Student transportation services for the Grand Erie District School Board, Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board and the French Catholic School Board have been cancelled along with schools in all zones.
The Trinity Christian School in Burlington is also closed.
