Mississauga man arrested in road rage stabbing in Oakville

A Mississauga man has been arrested and charged in a road rage incident in Oakville on Saturday, Halton police say.
Officers were called to the area of Lakeshore Rd. East and Allan St. on Saturday afternoon, around 4:45 p.m. for reports of a stabbing.
Police say there was a road rage incident between two drivers near Gairloch Gardens.
The two drivers followed one another to the intersection of Lakeshore Rd. E and Allan St. when both got out of their cars.
Police say one man stabbed the other in the face with a knife before fleeing the scene. The victim was taken to hospital.
Halton Police currently have Lakeshore Road East between First Street and Allen Street in the Town of Oakville closed for an investigation. Please avoid the area.

That night, a man turned himself into Peel police.
David Smallbone, 35, of Mississauga has been charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
