Mississauga crash claims two lives

Two people are dead after a collision near Trillium Hospital in Mississauga this afternoon.

The investigation and clean up is causing a massive traffic jam for tonight’s commute.

It happened around three o’clock this afternoon at the intersection of Hurontario and the Queensway.

Early reports say two women died – their ages are not known. An elderly woman was airlifted to hospital with life threatening injuries.

Traffic in the area of Hurontario near the QEW is being re-directed elsewhere and there is a big back-up. If you need to go near that area tonight be prepared to wait: police say they will need to keep the area closed for several hours.
