Ministry inspector to investigate after two men rescued from hole in Milton

Halton police say two men were sent to hospital after they fell into a hole near the Halton Waste Management Site in Milton Monday morning.

Officers said fire services were sent to 5400 Regional Rd. 25 to extract the two men after the call came in at around 8 a.m.

Both men were transported to hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Halton Regional Police media officer Jeff Dillon told CHCH News that the Ministry of Labour has been notified and will be attending.

The office of the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development confirmed that a ministry inspector has been assigned to investigate.

Police have not released any information regarding the men at this time.
