McHappy Day supports families with sick children

McHappy Day is May 11. A portion of every dollar spent at McDonald’s restaurants will go to support families with sick children.

The money helps Ronald McDonald House locations across Canada offer families a place to stay while their kids undergo treatment.

On an average year, Ronald McDonald House Charities supports more than 26,000 families while their child is receiving treatment at a nearby children’s hospital.

A portion of everything bought at a Mcdonald’s restaurant tomorrow will go to help Ronald McDonald House and other local charities.

All the money raised in the area will stay in the area.

Local restaurant owner Drew Steeves said McHappy Day brings in about $30,000 at his McDonald’s alone, which is just some of the money that directly benefits families in need.
