Metrolinx warns GO train commuters of delays due to extreme heat

Metrolinx says GO transit commuters may experience some delays or cancellations due to the extreme heat conditions in Hamilton, Burlington, Niagara and the rest of the GTHA.

The transit agency says during prolonged periods of high heat, they have to run the trains at slower speeds to ensure the safety of their customers and crew.

Metrolinx says some trips may be delayed or cancelled as a result. It’s advised to check their service updates page and to plan ahead.
