Memorial bench unveiled for victims of violence

Families of those affected by violence gathered in Gage Park to unveil a memorial bench.
Sherri Bonnallie has been planning the bench for a year and a half with the organization “Peace for Hamilton.” Bonnallie wants to dedicate the bench to young people affected by senseless violence specifically her son.
Bonnallie is the mother of Marley Jordan Rowe a 23-year-old Hamilton man murdered on new years day in 2014 and the aunt of Holly Hamilton a 29-year-old killed by her ex-boyfriend in 2018.
Bonnallie is concerned with the violence in Hamilton saying the city and police chief need to clamp down on senseless violence.
Bonnallie hopes the bench can be a place for people to go and reflect on their lost loved ones.
