Man sought in knifepoint robbery at east Hamilton gas station

Hamilton police have released images of a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a gas station.

Police did not specify a location but said the incident happened around 1 a.m. on Jan. 25 in the city’s east end.

A man wearing a black jacket and white medical mask walked up to the counter and demanded money from the clerk.

Police say the suspect pulled out a kitchen-style knife and robbed the store of cash.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Investigators are appealing for the public’s help in identifying the suspect. He is described as white, in his 30s or 40s, between five-foot-five and five-foot-eight, with an average build. The man was wearing black pants and brown snow boots.
