Man sets fire at Gage park playground

Hamilton police have arrested a man after he allegedly set a plastic bag on fire at a playground in Gage Park.

Luckily no one was at the park at the time. Police say there was damage to the playground.
Police tell us officers responded shortly after 6:15 am after they received 911 calls from witnesses in the area who saw the fire. A 33-year-old Hamilton man was arrested at the scene and he remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing. His name has not yet been released.
