Man rescued after falling through ice at Cootes Paradise
A man is expected to be okay after plunging through the ice at Cootes Paradise on Hamilton Harbour.
It happened around 8 p.m. Wednesday in an area behind McMaster University.
Hamilton police, firefighters and paramedics all responded to the scene near Forsyth Ave.

Temperatures were below freezing at the time of the incident.
Police say the man was rescued and brought back to shore within an hour of first responders’ arrival.
He was taken to hospital as a precaution but is expected to be okay.
