Niagara police say a man is in hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a single-vehicle crash in Fort Erie Thursday overnight.

Officers tell CHCH News that the collision happened just after 12 a.m. in the area of Nigh Road and Gorham Street near downtown Ridgeway, Ont.

Police say the vehicle went off the road, crashing into rocks and trees before rolling over.

As a result, a 30-year-old man from St. Catharines was transported to an out-of-region hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators say the driver was impaired by alcohol and was charged with impaired operation.
