Man from Brant County is charged with assault

A man from Brant County has been charged after an assault at a Paris business on July 5.

Brant County Ontario Provincial Police responded to an alleged assault at a business on Rest Acres Road at around 10:50 p.m. on July 5.

Officers determined that a male patron was assaulted and that the suspect and victim were not known to each other.

The accused is 21-year-old Matthew Flewelling of Brant County. He was located near the business and taken into custody.

He was released on an undertaking and is facing one charge of assault.

Flewelling is expected to appear in court on Aug. 21 to answer to the charge.
