Man dead following crane collapsed at Taylor Steel

A Hamilton man has been pronounced dead at Taylor Steel, after collapsing in a crane 30 feet above the ground.

The Ministry of Labour is investigating the death, because it took place on the job, but officials are unsure whether the man died of natural causes or a possible machinery malfunction.

Early reports suggest he may have been electrocuted. Fire crews attempted a high angle rope rescue, but it was called off.
