Man dead after being struck by a transport truck within a business in Flamborough

Hamilton police say it is assisting the Ministry of Labour with its investigation into the death of a 64-year-old man.

On Tuesday, May 10, shortly after 5:00 a.m., police responded to the area of Highway 8 and Westover Road in Flamborough for a man that was struck.

Officers say a 64-year-old man was struck by a transport truck within a business. Life saving measures were taken, but he was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.

Due to the Ministry of Transportation guidelines, police say the incident will be deemed a motor vehicle collision and is the city’s 12th traffic fatality of the year and the 11th involving a pedestrian.
