A 71-year-old Niagara Falls man has been charged with mischief after allegedly vandalizing several properties with hate speech.
In March, police began an investigation into hate speech that had been vandalized on several properties in the City of Niagara Falls.
Authorities investigated 11 vandalization incidents in which hate speech had been spray painted on buildings on Queen Street, Bridge Street, Erie Avenue and Zimmerman Avenue.
As a result, officers identified and arrested Pierre Vaillant for mischief under $5,000.
Detectives believe there could be more incidents that have not been reported to police.
