Man charged after Brantford worker threatened with firearm

Brantford police have charged a 38-year-old man who allegedly threatened an employee of an entertainment business with a firearm.

Officers responded around 2 a.m. on Sunday to the business on Market St. after receiving a report about a man uttering threats to a worker.

Soon after, investigators found the suspect inside of a vehicle that was in the parking lot of the business.

Police then arrested Jory Fourtouunes and found a loaded firearm in the vehicle.

Investigators also discovered Fourtouunes was in violation of three firearm prohibition orders.

He is now facing nine separate charges including, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and criminal harassment.

Brantford police are encouraging anyone in the city to report any criminal activity to officers at 519-756-7050.
