Niagara police have arrested a man following a prolonged fatal collision investigation involving a motorcyclist in Thorold.
Shortly before 8 p.m. on Oct. 5, 2022, emergency crews responded to a report of a serious two-vehicle collision on Highway 20 at the Highway 406 overpass.
Investigators determined that a motorcycle had collided with a white Hyundai Elantra.
Police say the motorcyclist was a man from Pelham in his 50s. He was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.

Officers have arrested and charged a 62-year-old man from St. Catharines on Friday. He is charged with careless driving causing death.
Police say the defendant is scheduled to appear at a Welland courthouse on Tuesday.
