Brant County OPP and Brantford police officers took an icy dip Thursday to raise money to support athletes of the Special Olympics Ontario Games.
The Polar Plunge was held at North Park Collegiate and Vocational School in Brantford, where challenge participants jumped into a pool of water to raise money for the Games coming to Brant, Brantford and Six Nations.
In a press release, Provincial Constable Jonathan Bueckert of the Brant County OPP said, “jumping into freezing water isn’t easy, but we do it for the right reasons.”
The Brant-Brantford community aims to raise $50,000 to support programming and events for up to 23,000 athletes across the province.
Donations for the fundraiser can still be made online here.
