Licence fee hike to pay for roads & bridges: province

(Video added) For the first time in 15 years, driver and vehicle licence fees in Ontario are going up.

Licence fees for Southern Ontarians will rise from the current $74 to $80 dollars next year, and 98 dollars by year 2015.

Transportation minister Bob Chiarelli has pledged to use the increases for improving infrastructure, even though the money will be paid into general revenues.
