Let’s Be Cops

Let’s Be Cops is a comedy film directed by Luke Greenfield (The Girl Next Door). Two down on their luck friends decided to attend a costume party dressed as police officers. But they don’t settle for boring, store-bought costumes, they go all out, and the results are so real that people start thinking they’re actual cops. It’s a charade that the pair decide to play up and see how far they can take it. But when the two get tied up in an actual investigation, they’re forced to serve and protect like they were the real deal. The film stars Jake Johnson, Damon Wayans, Jr., Rob Riggle, Nina Dobrev, James D’Arcy, Keegan-Michael Key, and Andy García.

Johnson and Wayans Jr., who play the two best friends, have established a good chemistry on screen while working on the TV show New Girl. The two starred in the show’s pilot, but Wayans had to drop out to shoot his other series Happy Endings. That show was cancelled however, which allowed the New Girl writers to add Wayans’ character back into the show halfway through season 3. He will be a regular cast member for the upcoming fourth season.
