The Lego Movie

Those iconic plastic bricks make a long awaited appearance on the big screen this weekend. The Lego Movie tells the story of Emmet, a run-of-the-mill minifigure that gets swept up in an adventure to save the Lego universe from the evil Lord Business. A group of Master Builders, legendary figures with the creativity to turn anything made of Lego into anything else, believe Emmet is the Special, the only figure that can save the world.

A large voice cast throw their talent behind the various minifigures in the film, with Chris Pratt starring as Emmet. He is joined by Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie, Charlie Day, and Liam Neeson, with Morgan Freeman portraying the wizard Vitruvius and Will Ferrell voicing Lord Business. There have been many direct to video releases of Lego films in the past, but The Lego Movie is the first full-length theatrical release.

The Lego Movie is rated G.
