Lawyers battle over Bieber arrest video

A hearing was held in Florida today to determine if Justin Bieber’s lawyers can block the release of the singer’s arrest video.

This is the arrest connected to the DUI case in Miami. At issue: whether police video taken while Bieber was in custody after his arrest last month — some of which reportedly shows the pop star submitting to a urine test — should be released to the public.

Lawyers representing various media outlets in the U.S. argued that nothing in Florida law specifically exempts the release of the video, and that the “vignettes” in question are highly relevant to the case because they show Bieber providing the very evidence that may be used to convict him.
