Large Sinkhole in Oakville

Road repairs are underway in Oakville after a large sinkhole was discovered on Sunday.

Halton Police found the 4 metre deep sinkhole on Cross Avenue at around 4 p.m.

Roads are closed in both directions from Cornwall Road to Lyons Lane for repairs.

Police are asking drivers to avoid the area at this time.

Police have not released the cause of the sinkhole.
