A boy was struck and killed by a train near Long Branch GO station Wednesday, which led to commuters using Lakeshore West GO line to see significant delays.

The latest news regarding the incident can be found here.

In an email to CHCH News, GO Transit says one person was killed after being struck by a train on the Lakeshore West line between Long Branch GO and Port Credit GO stations.

According to GO Transit, emergency personnel are on scene and “trains cannot move through the area until a full investigation is completed.”

The message on their website continues, “westbound trains will end at Long Branch GO and eastbound trains will end at Port Credit GO.”

Alternatively, GO buses are still available for travellers.
