Kites filled the skies of Hamilton Sunday, in honour of the lives lost to suicide.

50 kite flyers gathered at Bayfront Park to celebrate the 4th annual ‘Come Fly With Me’ Festival.

The founder of ‘Mind in Need of Attention’ says their mission is to raise awareness for mental illnesses, and reduce the rate of suicide in Canada.

According to the World Health Organization, every 40 seconds someone around the globe dies of suicide.
