Kitchener 6 win $6.8m

A group of six people from Kitchener have won $6.8 million in the January 12th Lotto 6/49 draw.

The six group members – Qerime, Shuki and Gurabie Alievski, Chuck Terry, Brian Hutchins and Kevin Ray – arrived at the OLG Toronto Prize Centre on Monday to claim their prize.
Both Terry and Hutchins are close to retirement while Ray is a local machinist.
The three sisters are all in their mid-30’s and they say that quitting their jobs at the family restaurant is not in their future.
The winning ticket was purchased at Happy Variety on Highland Road in Kitchener.
