Nathan Wade – the lead prosecutor in the Georgia election interference case against former U.S. president Donald Trump and his 18 co-defendants – has resigned.
The decision follows a judge’s ruling that said Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis must either step aside, or remove Wade – the special prosecutor she had a romantic relationship with.
Both Willis and Wade testified at a hearing last month that they had engaged in a romantic relationship, but rejected the idea Willis improperly benefited from it.
