Joseph Brant hopes to break Guinness record

Joseph Brant hospital is hoping to set a Guinness world record this weekend and they need your help. It’s hoping to form the largest human letter.

On Sunday, participants will be arranged in the shape of the letter ‘J’ for Joseph Brant.  At least 3 374 people are needed to break the current record, which is held by Queen’s university.

“We’re in the midst of a capital campaign to build the new Joseph Brant hospital and we’re nearing our goal of raising $60 million, we have 10 million to go. We are launching our final phase of the campaign called “Join the J” and so we wanted to have an opportunity where every member of our community could participate, and literally join the J.” Anissa Hilborn.

The event gets underway at Spencer Smith Park at noon on Sunday. There will be food and entertainment, the event is free, but you’re encouraged to register.
