Jays rally past Rangers; post-season tickets on sale
There was no going to bed early last night as the Toronto Blue Jays rallied with two outs in the ninth inning to beat the Texas Rangers 6-5.
Troy Tulowitzki had the game-tying RBI single before Adrian Beltre’s throwing error allowed the winning Toronto run to score. Roberto Osuna worked the ninth for his 15th save in 16 chances while LaTroy Hawkins got the win.
The win means the Jays now have a one-game lead in the American League East because the New York Yankees suffered an embarrassing loss to Houston.
The Bronx Bombers followed Monday’s 1-nothing victory over the Astros with a 15-1 loss. It’s their most lopsided home loss in more than six years.
And just when you thought the Toronto post-season hype wasn’t already high enough, the Jays are launching playoff ticket sales for season ticket holders this morning.
Flex pack holders will get their chance to purchase post-season tickets starting September 2nd, but the general public will have to wait until September 23rd.
A single ticket to the World Series will run as much as 14-hundred dollars. It’s been more than two decades since the Jays last saw post-season action.
