Investigators in the Sonia Varaschin case are hoping scores of Orangeville area men will voluntarily agree to giving a DNA sample.

A specialist team will begin taking inner-cheek swabs within the next few days from any man over the age of 18 who knew or had met Varaschin around the time she was murdered, in order to eliminate persons of interest.

The 42 year old was brutally murdered and her body was dumped in a rural area near her Orangeville home last August.

Ontario Provincial Police are expected to give an update on the investigation Wednesday morning.
