Progressive Conservative leader Tim Hudak says if elected, his government would spend an additional $6.1 billion per year on health care at the end of four years.
Speaking in Toronto Tuesday, Hudak told reporters he will re-open the Fort Erie emergency room that was closed back in 2009 by the Hamilton-Niagara Local Health Intergration Networks – or LHINS.
Hudak went on to say that, while he’s at it, he’s going to get rid of the network altogether.
The closures were hotly contested, with many residents saying there was not enough consultation.
