Whether its people asleep on the job, or a near-miss on a plane carrying Michelle Obama, several stories in recent weeks have put the focus on air traffic controllers.

They’re the people on the ground who help ensure the safety of those in the sky. But most people who fly never get to see them, until now. Sean Cowan takes us inside Pearson International’s air traffic control centre.
