An inquest will be held into the death of a Fort Erie teen, killed in a crash more than two years ago.

Deputy chief coroner Bonita Porter made the announcement Thursday.

Reilly Anzovino, 18, died in December 2009, after she was injured in a crash in Niagara.

There’s been controversy about whether she would have survived if the emergency departments in Fort Erie and Port Colborne had not been closed.

The inquest begins October 31st in Welland. It’s expected to last four weeks with as many as 35 witnesses testifying.
