Impaired driver found slumped over wheel in Hamilton

Hamilton police have arrested a driver after he was found slumped over his steering wheel.

Emergency crews were called to a single-vehicle collision near Broadway Ave. and Main St. West around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say a driver impaired by a drug had struck a curb before their vehicle came to a stop.

When officers arrived on scene, they found the man flopped over his wheel.

A 24-year-old man from Kitchener, Ont. was arrested and taken to hospital to be medically cleared.

He has been charged with operation while impaired.
